JOB DESCRIPTION:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and timely. Analyze financial performance and variances, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Monitor and analyze budget performance, providing variance explanations and recommendations.
Compliance and Control: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements. Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Coordinate and support external audits and ensure timely completion.
Team Management: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including accountants and clerks. Manage staffing levels, training, and professional development for the accounting team. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and guidance.
Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and reconciliations. Implement and improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for projects and initiatives. Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies.
