Job Description

Associate Producer

The Associate Producer has a few years of experience in advertising or a related video production field. They produce small-scale corporate videos, boardomatics, radio spots, and social content with minimal supervision, and collaborate creatively with internal teams. They are eager to deepen their production expertise, learn the full production process, and grow their career in content production.

The Associate Producer is responsible for managing and producing digital video and radio content from concept through delivery. This includes coordinating internal and external agency teams and third-party vendors to deliver the best product for the client’s needs. They act as a key project lead on assigned productions, creating workable timelines, partnering with Business Affairs to bid vendors and develop estimates, and ensuring each project is completed seamlessly and enthusiastically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with brand teams to receive approved scripts, schedule reviews and approvals, and organize internal or agency screenings for new vendor showcases.
  • Support senior producers on high-level TV commercial productions, tandem shoots, or complex content projects requiring both video and still capture.
  • Assist senior producers with talent coordination, completion paperwork, and the archiving of assets and production materials.
  • Produce a range of content, including TV test commercials, corporate videos, motion graphics, radio spots, and still photo shoots.
  • Identify and manage external production resources, including directors, editors, and music or post vendors.
  • Partner with Broadcast Business Affairs and Business Managers to bid vendors, create ballparks and estimates, and ensure all legal and trafficking materials are prepared and cleared on time.
  • Foster strong, clear communication between creative, account, and client teams throughout the production process.
  • Maintain organized, transparent documentation of all production activities and ensure best practices are followed across departments.
  • Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with internal agency teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Continue developing an understanding of international production practices and expanding vendor knowledge.
  • Work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to support new business or time-sensitive production schedules.

Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Film, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of video production experience, ideally within an advertising agency
  • Experience interfacing with production, editorial, music, talent/casting, and post vendors, both domestic and international
  • Familiarity with internal departments such as Motion Graphics, Pipeline, and Business Affairs

SALARY

$60,000 - $70,000 annually
