Job Description

This role is for an Associate Producer specializing in Employee Benefits (Life & Health) at a leading national brokerage and financial services firm.

The Associate Producer is a key role focused on driving new business development and supporting senior sales leaders in growing the firm's client portfolio. This position is ideal for an ambitious, sales-oriented professional ready to transition into full-cycle production while building a foundational book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Business Development: Proactively prospect for new clients (typically 50–500 lives) through cold calling, networking, and lead generation to build a personal book of business.
• Sales Support: Collaborate closely with Senior Producers/Consultants to prepare proposals, conduct benchmarking, and analyze data to present strategic benefit solutions (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary) to C-suite and HR executives.
• Relationship Management: Cultivate centers of influence (COIs) , manage external carrier relationships, and ensure prospects receive prompt, professional attention throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial discovery to closing.
• Client Transition: Facilitate the seamless transition of new clients to the service and account management teams post-sale, ensuring clarity on client objectives and implementation details.
• Market Knowledge: Maintain expertise in current employee benefits trends, carrier products, regulatory changes (e.g., ACA, ERISA), and evolving funding mechanisms (fully insured, level-funded, self-funded).

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in insurance sales, benefits administration, or a similar quota-carrying, prospecting-focused role preferred

• Can come from other industries as well (HR, PEO, general Consulting, etc. if in sales/quota carrying)
