Job Description

About the Job:

We are looking to hire someone for a commercial restoration and construction position in the Kansas City metro. Time will be split between performing construction tasks, restoration / emergency response work and supervising various trades, subcontractors and labor. The applicant will need to be self-sufficient in how to problem solve and make repairs in a variety of trades listed below. The applicant will be based out of Kansas City but some travel and overtime hours may be required.

The applicant must be a great communicator with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and company management. Applicants must be self-motivated and self-sufficient when it comes to all construction tasks. Applicants must also maintain a positive attitude. This is not an entry-level position or apprentice position.

Applicant needs to be proficient at the following construction trades:
  • Drywall installation.
  • Drywall finishing.
  • Painting.
  • Caulking.
  • Casework.
  • Window and door installation.
  • Rough and finish carpentry.
  • Metal framing.
  • Acoustic ceilings.
  • Minor electrical.
  • Minor plumbing.
  • More construction-related tasks as needed.
  • Wallpaper and flooring experience preferred.
  • Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is preferred.

Applicant needs to have experience in the following restoration tasks:

  • Emergency response and proper protocols.
  • Water extraction.
  • Setup and monitoring of equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc).
  • Setup of containment.
  • Taking detailed moisture readings, humidity levels, and mapping.
  • Determining what building components need to be removed and performing those demolition tasks.
  • Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is preferred

  • Applicants must be able to pass a background check and be legal to work in the United States.
