Sitework Engineer 3 (remote) - but you must live within an hour of Birmingham

The Sitework Engineer 2 position requires 7-10 years of experience in sitework and grading design, along with an accredited bachelor's degree in civil engineering .

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide sitework engineering services and field support for various projects.
• Prepare designs, calculations, cost estimates, and material takeoffs .
• Conduct site walk-downs to assess conditions and ensure compliance with design plans.
• Maintain a safe work environment while integrating safety considerations into designs.
• Efficiently manage multiple projects and apply technical writing and Microsoft Office Suite skills daily.
• Travel 25% of the time as required by project needs.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Environmental Regulations: Knowledge of ADEM and MDEQ guidelines.
• Earthwork & Construction Calculations: Ability to perform earthwork calculations, construction material take-offs, and cost estimates .
• Design Coordination: Experience collaborating on design document production .
• Permitting Oversight: Familiarity with municipal, ALDOT, and environmental permitting requirements .
• Erosion & Sediment Control: Extensive knowledge or certification in erosion and sediment control measures .
• Hydrology & Site Balancing: Ability to perform hydrology calculations, balance sites, and design retention ponds .
• Civil Sitework Design: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and modeling.
