Job Description

Job Summary:

The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure a safe work environment on construction sites. This role involves monitoring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies, conducting safety training, leading incident investigations, and promoting a culture of safety across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct regular job site inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions for all personnel and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including incident logs and inspection reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into daily operations and planning.
• Serve as the primary liaison for safety audits and regulatory inspections.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership, accountability, and communication.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
• OSHA 30 certification required; CHST, CSP, or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, safety protocols, and risk management practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence safe behavior across diverse teams.
