Job Title: Superintendent – High-Rise Construction

Location: Miami-Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 annually (DOE)

About Our Client:

Our client is a respected general contractor based in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area, specializing in high-rise construction projects. They focus on multi-family, hotel, and office towers and have an excellent reputation for delivering complex, ground-up developments. As their project portfolio grows, they are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join their team and help lead the successful execution of their high-rise projects.

Position Overview:

The Superintendent will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of high-rise construction projects. You will be on the ground, overseeing all on-site construction activities, managing the trades, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure quality and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in high-rise construction, capable of managing the full range of 16-CSI trade classifications on complex ground-up projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily construction activities for high-rise projects, including multi-family, hotel, and office tower developments.
• Supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of all work performed on-site.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure the project stays on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards.
• Manage and maintain project site safety, ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations and best practices.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure work is being completed according to plans and specifications.
• Assist with managing project documentation, including daily logs, timecards, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Resolve on-site issues or delays promptly and effectively.
• Ensure that materials and equipment are available and properly coordinated for the construction process.
• Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in high-rise construction, specifically multi-family, hotel, and office tower projects.
• Proven experience managing the day-to-day activities of large, ground-up projects.
• Strong understanding of all 16-CSI trade classifications and their application in construction.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities on-site.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (but not required).
• OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or similar tools is a plus.
