Must Haves:

• High school diploma/GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Able to pass drug and background check.
• Good communication skills.
• Carpentry, Masonry, Roadwork, Dock Work, Construction, renovation/GC, landscaping, etc. (outdoor/hands on).

Plusses:

• ACI/SCDOT/Earthwork Certification.
• Construction or concrete background.
• Military background.

Day to Day:

Insight Global is hiring Construction Materials Technicians for a large engineering consulting firm in Charleston.

Responsibilities include testing, observation, and inspection of construction projects; communicating with the PM, engineering technicians, and clients; and completing digital reports daily. Technicians will:

• Meet with their manager at the office, travel to job sites, perform required tasks, report results to the PM, and either get a new assignment or finish for the day.
• Work on one site or multiple sites within 1 hour of Charleston (company vehicle provided; commute time paid).
• Monitor fill and soil placements, handle concrete cylinders, test concrete during placement, transport samples for lab analysis, and enter lab data.
• Maintain and clean equipment, adhere to strict safety standards, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
