Location: San Francisco, CA – work may be needed at both our Taraval and Laguna Honda locations

Type: Contract / As-Needed Basis

Job Summary:

The Contracted Handyman will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and minor improvements around the center. This includes handling general building maintenance, furniture repairs, minor plumbing or electrical fixes, painting, and ensuring the facility remains in good working order.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks as requested.
• Inspect facilities regularly to identify safety or repair needs.
• Repair and assemble furniture, toys, and fixtures as needed.
• Handle light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• Assist with minor painting, patching, and touch-ups.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Communicate clearly with management regarding project updates, materials needed, and estimated completion times.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or similar role.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation and ability to respond to maintenance requests as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Contract Terms:

• Contract-based position; paid per project or hourly depending on scope.
• Flexible schedule based on maintenance needs.
• Must be available for occasional urgent repairs, primarily during evenings and, when needed, on weekends.
