What You Will Help Us With:

Empowering Teams with Data Insights:

You will play a crucial role in empowering both our internal teams and clients to derive actionable insights from complex, large-scale datasets. Your expertise will enable the development of high-quality, nature-based projects by building data pipelines that efficiently process multi-terabyte datasets, particularly in the geospatial and remote sensing domains. 

Driving Technical Leadership and Innovation:

You will lead by example, guiding cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of core data pipelines and systems. These pipelines will serve as the foundation for data-driven decisions, providing the infrastructure necessary to support large-scale data analysis efforts across the organisation. 

Mentorship in Best Practices:

You will mentor teammates on best practices in data management, analysis, and pipeline design. Your role will involve advocating for efficient and effective data processing methods, ensuring the organisation consistently achieves high standards of performance and accuracy.

Hands-On Data Contributions:

You will contribute directly to coding and optimising the systems and tools that power our data analytics. Your work will ensure that our data engineering and analysis efforts produce high-quality insights, and other data-intensive initiatives. By optimising workflows and enhancing data accessibility, you will play a key role in driving efficiency and performance across large-scale geospatial and remote sensing datasets.



Requirements

Experience & Skills We’re Looking For:

- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines to support data analysis and reporting needs. 

- Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and key stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions. 

- Develop and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting purposes. 

- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various data sources and systems. 

- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide actionable recommendations. 

- Create data visualisations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to support decision-making. 

- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues on time. 

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and systems. 

- Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends in data analytics. 

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. 

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server). 

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. 

- Exposure to programming languages such as Python or R. 

- Experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. 

- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance best practices. 

- Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management systems. 

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. 

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

- Internship or project experience in data analysis or a related field is an advantage.

- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate - Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate

- IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate

- Tableau Desktop Specialist

- SAS Certified Data Scientist
