Responsibilities:

  • Perform general store, vehicle and merchandise maintenance, merchandise delivery, merchandise return and service, and various marketing, sales and customer service functions. Perform product refurbishment, assembly, and minor repairs to maintain quality & functionality.
  • Engage in additional sales opportunities during the delivery process to help drive additional revenue.
  • Adhere to all Company safety protocols, procedures, and policies using proper tools and protective equipment.
  • Operate all Company vehicles responsibly, complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Provide customer service, inside and outside of store, ensuring that all merchandise delivered is 100% operational and includes all parts & accessories. Assist in the set-up, merchandising, and cleaning of the showroom floor.
  • Complete daily checklists and tasks to ensure compliance with all delivery, customer service, and inventory management systems and processes.
  • Perform regular vehicle checklists ensuring all store vehicles are properly maintained, stocked with necessary tools and delivery accessories, and clean.
  • Follow-up with customers by telephone, or in person or electronic means to determine reasons for service-related issues including repair related actions.

Hours:

Ability to work a standard 5-day, 40-hour work week on a consistent basis. Scheduled hours include Mondays through Saturdays from 9:00AM through 7:00PM. Individual schedules will vary based on business demands. Stores are closed on Sundays.

Requirements:
  • Education – High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience – One (1) year of work experience in retail sales, delivery or customer service. Three (3) years of driving experience without incident.
  • Training – Completion of New Hire Orientation, completion of all required internal training.
  • Motor Vehicle Operation – The ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Driver's License – Possession and maintenance of a valid motor vehicle license with an acceptable driving record is a requirement for continued employment in this position.
  • Special Requirements – A pre-employment physical examination may be required to determine ability to meet physical demands of the job. The passing of a successful pre-employment drug test and background review may be required for this position. Blue Ocean has declared its stores to be a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. Random drug testing may be instituted.
  • Lifting – Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds independently, and to move merchandise weighing more using a dolly or with assistance—without risk of personal injury or product damage.
  • Data Entry – The ability to enter data in a computer.

Compensation details: 17-20 Hourly Wage
