Job Description

Job description We are the Thomas School Bus dealer for the State of Florida. We make all warranty repairs on the Thomas School buses, as well as perform some retail at the county School Bus yards and at individual customer locations. Our repairs consist of the Thomas body, Freightliner Chassis, Cummins engine, AC and basic wheelchair lifts. We do not work on internal engines, transmissions or do any body work. We have techs all over Florida based out of their own area. Right now, we are looking for someone on the residing in and around the St Lucie County area. Work is performed under limited supervision and reports directly to the Mobile Service Manager. Works out a provided service van that has all of the supplies you need other than your personal tools. Must have the ability to use diagnostic computer programs. Must have great customer service and be willing to learn. Valid, Clean drivers license, background check and drug test required.   • Maintain parts inventory
Qualifications:
  • 4 years of previous experience as a Bus /Truck Mechanic is preferred
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
