SUMMARY

Catalyst Group seeks a full-time employee to join our new office in the Raleigh, NC area (or remote). We are seeking a Director of EHSS Consulting to grow our presence nationally. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the development of internal business strategy, building on existing service offerings and identifying opportunities for growth in the Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability domains. 
• Continue the successful expansion of Catalyst’s Professional services portfolio by delivering a positive experience for both clients and team members while solving for today’s and tomorrow’s Environmental, Occupational/Industrial Hygiene, Safety and Sustainability challenges with innovative consulting services and solutions that embed excellence and build resilience.
• Build and lead a team of EHS and sustainability consultants, taking responsibility for their growth and development.
• Partner with our outsourced marketing team to develop and execute a plan for building awareness of consulting services, personally contributing through online media and in-person events.
• Develop new and existing client accounts through visits with decision makers, capitalizing on current relationships and generating a sales pipeline of prospective assignments.
• Prepare and submit proposals and contracts to convert leads into active commercial projects.
• Provide oversight and direction on key accounts, managing consultants throughout projects.
• Work as a subject matter expert when necessary (if candidate is a SME)
• Continually improve internal systems and processes.
• Provide technical input on tools being developed for launch.
• Ensure profitability of individual projects and the consulting services business as a whole.
• Work with our US and India team to provide operational and technical support (if candidate is an SME)
• Screening of Catalyst consultants over the phone for potential projects.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• At least 10 years of operational leadership experience within an EHS consulting practice.
• Prior experience in marketing, converting and delivering on EHS consulting opportunities.
• Prior experience in building, managing and developing teams of EHS consultants.
• A degree and relevant EHS certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHST, OHST, OSHA 500, etc.).
• An ability to travel up to 30% 
• An eye for detail, excellent relationship-building skills, and a desire to deliver quality work.
