Essential Job Functions

• Organize and execute at minimum 6 special events through full production annually.
• Plan and implement annual event calendar for guests.
• Collaborate with sales team to ensure coordination of group room blocks.
• Coordinate details of events for event space food beverage and audio visual requirements.
• Develop and implement event sales and marketing strategies: eblasts, print, online, billboard, etc.
• Attend networking events meetings ensuring a positive rapport and relationships with area decision and opinion leaders, including but not limited to, local chambers and bids, convention and visitors bureau, event and meeting planner networking opportunities, corporate events, etc.
• Manage relationships with promoters, agencies, and media outlets ensuring positive work relationship.
• Negotiate contracts discounts, source and maintain vendor relationships.
• Strong client management and interaction skills.
• Assist and lead the General Manager in marketing events and promotions for seasonal high-points.
• Demonstrative abilities in collaborative team building and consensus.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHMs EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management or Business.
• Minimum of three years event planning experience

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, weekends and alternate shifts.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
