Distribution Center Director

Location: Hagerstown, MD

Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000 base salary plus bonus and benefits

A leading supply chain organization is seeking an experienced DC Director to oversee operations of a 1M sq. ft. facility. The site employs 700+ associates and requires a proven leader with the ability to manage at scale while driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all distribution center functions, ensuring goals for safety, service, quality, and cost are consistently met.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a management team including managers, supervisors, and frontline leaders.
• Manage budgets, P&L, and labor planning to optimize performance across a large-scale operation.
• Partner closely with senior leadership and the client to align distribution execution with broader business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, technology utilization, and labor efficiency.
• Build and sustain a strong culture of safety, accountability, and associate engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution center management, with at least 3 years at the GM or Director level.
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Background in retail or e-commerce logistics environments strongly desired.
• Proven ability to manage large workforces (500+ employees) in high-volume, fast-paced settings.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with a track record of managing budgets and KPIs.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship management capabilities.
