  • $100,000 to $115,000 + bonus + corporate benefits

A thriving Consumer Goods and Logistics business is looking to hire a new Distribution Planning Manager at 1 of its key North American flagship 1.5M+ sq ft sites. This position will play a key role in overseeing the planning, organization, and prioritization of monthly, weekly, and daily workload by aligning forecasted volume projections with labor capacity and utilization requirements across the business. The position demands a deep understanding of projected workload volume, labor forecasting and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations and productivity. Additionally it will lead a team of approx. 8 to 9 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency, leveraging innovative solutions and best practices to optimize the overall performance of our distribution center
  • Serve as a crucial liaison between operations teams and upper management enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning to drive company objectives
  • Analyze and forecast workload volume based on historical data, seasonal trends, and daily/weekly business projections.
  • Collaborate with Operations and HR Management teams to determine optimal labor resources required to support the navigation workload.
  • Analyze labor productivity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve labor efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Industrial Engineering and IT Systems teams to gather data insights to inform strategic workload planning, especially regarding optimal utilization of automated systems.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize planning and scheduling processes.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing automation utilization and process improvement.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • 5+yrs experience in Distribution Center and Warehousing operations
  • Bachelor's degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
  • Extensive track record of delivering successful Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Significant Accomplishments in People, Process, and Cost Savings
  • Experience making data-driven decisions to maximize profitability
