Job Description

Education Program Coordinator (GME)

Salary: $68,000–$70,000/year

Location: Onsite | Hybrid Potential

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Coordinator to support a large, high-performing residency and fellowship program. This role is ideal for an organized, tech-savvy, and relationship-driven professional who thrives in an academic clinical environment and enjoys balancing complex scheduling, trainee support, and data-informed program operations.

You will coordinate electives for 200+ residents across multiple subspecialty divisions, manage evaluation processes, support the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), and help advance innovative approaches to educational operations—including AI-supported dashboards and workflow optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident & Fellow Coordination

  • Manage elective scheduling for 200+ residents across subspecialty divisions.
  • Support residents and fellows in research, scholarly activity tracking, and educational fund reimbursements.
  • Serve as a liaison for trainees and faculty, ensuring smooth communication and program compliance.

Program Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee evaluation systems for inpatient, outpatient, and elective rotations.
  • Coordinate and support Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) meetings, including data capture, dashboard development, and competency reporting.
  • Ensure alignment with ACGME requirements and accreditation standards.

Technology, Data, & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and enhance AI-supported dashboards used for trainee progress assessment.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow automation and operational innovation.
  • Support tech-driven administrative processes; no advanced coding skills required, but comfort with data tools and informatics is essential.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with faculty, residents, fellows, and administrative leaders.
  • Understand and navigate diverse stakeholder priorities and power dynamics.
  • Exercise strong judgment in prioritization and escalation.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in GME, medical education administration, academic clinical operations, or a related setting.
  • Prior experience within residency or fellowship coordination strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport with trainees and faculty.
  • High proficiency with technology, data systems, and dashboard-based reporting.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
