The Ellsworth Coop is looking for a dependable Elevator Operator

• Responsible for grain inventories and its warehousing needs.
• Ensures good quality grain condition by conducting monthly facility inspections, monitoring bin temperatures, necessary housekeeping, and keeping the elevator clean and preforming preventative maintenance.
• Performs necessary housekeeping inside the facilities. Responsible for ensuring that interior and exterior of facility is neat, clean, and in good condition.
• Conducts various grain activities including loading, unloading, and operating scale for grain.
• Loads out grain by truck, cleans up grain spills and unloads producer’s grain.
• Loads and unloads feed, fertilizer, and other products, delivers feed and fertilizer as needed and fills NH3 tanks as qualified.
• Assists customers with sales, checkout process, and promote all products; responsible for being knowledgeable of all products and services and exhibit ability to demonstrate to customers their uses.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of vehicles and equipment as qualified and report issues.
• Responsible for accurate and timely record keeping.
• Preforms required preventative maintenance and have all PM reports completed and submitted by deadlines.
• Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and or/training with a sound understanding of grain operations are required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have excellent computers skills including data-entry required and ability to conduct point of sale transactions. Willing to seek out and attend additional continuing education, seminars, classes or other job-related education requirements or opportunities
• Current driver’s license and the ability to obtain and/or maintain a Commercial Driver’s License and Kansas Pesticide License with 7-B Fumigation rider.
