Job Description

Bravado has been retained by Cursor, a privately-held AI-native coding assistant that has grown its revenue from $0 to $200 million ARR in 14 months. It’s the fastest-growing tech company in history.

This 45-employee, Series B company ($2.6 billion valuation), which is backed by OpenAI, Andreessen Horowitz, and Thrive Capital, is hiring Enterprise Account Executives to sell $100k to $500k+ ACV SaaS deals to Fortune 1000 companies. You will report to the Enterprise Sales Manager and work from their San Francisco office in the North Beach neighborhood.

Solution

Designed to streamline software development, Cursor integrates directly with your codebase, enabling developers to write, debug, and understand code faster through powerful natural language prompts.

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Cursor is purpose-built for engineering workflows, offering contextual awareness, secure integrations, and collaboration features that boost productivity without compromising quality. Trusted by forward-thinking teams, Cursor helps organizations accelerate development velocity while maintaining code integrity.

Role

* Individual contributor role, reporting to the Enterprise Sales Manager and working from the company’s headquarters office in San Francisco.

* $175k base salary, $350k OTE. Uncapped compensation plan with accelerators.

* Comp plan includes company equity and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

* We are looking for Top 3% performers: you’ve attended an elite school; you’ve been promoted frequently; you’ve had long tenures with other hypergrowth companies.

* Top candidates have 5+ years of experience targeting senior-level decision-makers (VP, Senior Director) at complex organizations (typically 500 to 5,000+ employees).

* Experience selling Enterprise-sized deals while working for a Series A/B startup is a must.

* You have a Founding AE mindset; you want to build materials, talk tracks, sales culture, and processes.

Culture

* The company was founded in 2022 by a group of MIT alumni with a shared vision for enhancing developer productivity.

* One customer says, “We’ve fully integrated Cursor into our dev workflow—it's an insane productivity enhancer.”

* New Head of Sales previously drove significant revenue growth at Vercel, Branch, and Segment.

* 360,000 individual subscribers currently pay between $20 and $40 per month – this is PLG at its finest.

Official Job Description

Cursor is redefining the way engineering teams work with AI. We’re hiring an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to lead strategic sales initiatives and help the world’s largest engineering organizations successfully adopt and scale with Cursor.

This is a high-impact role that blends enterprise selling with a passion for your customers’ success. You’ll own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to long-term expansion. Your ability to navigate complex enterprise environments—across procurement, infosec, engineering, and the C-suite—will be critical. But we’re also an early-stage startup, which means we’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds playbooks from scratch, and embraces scrappiness when needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage complex sales cycles with enterprise customers from first touch through onboarding and renewal
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across technical and executive stakeholders
  • Drive adoption and expansion by ensuring customers are realizing meaningful value from Cursor post-sale
  • Coordinate with product, engineering, and GTM teams to tailor solutions, align on roadmap, and deliver feedback from the field
  • Create and contribute to internal sales enablement assets to help scale a world-class go-to-market function
  • Act as a strategic advisor to your prospects and customers, educating them on best practices for operationalizing AI in software development

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of SaaS sales experience, including 2+ years selling into enterprise accounts
  • Proven track record closing multi-stakeholder, complex deals and driving post-sale adoption
  • Strong familiarity with enterprise sales processes, including procurement and security reviews
  • Comfort working with technical audiences—engineers, architects, and security leaders
  • You lead with curiosity, work with urgency, and operate with high integrity in every interaction
  • You’re highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and complex stakeholder dynamics without dropping the ball
  • You’re energized by solving real problems for technical users and can translate abstract concepts into business value
  • You’re coachable, collaborative, and hungry to contribute to a winning team—no task too big or small if it helps the company succeed, and operate with high integrity in every interaction
