An entry level full time position is available for environmental scientist with an environmental consulting company located near Somerset, New Jersey. Job responsibilities include 1) field support for groundwater, soil and surface water sampling; 2) operations and maintenance of groundwater treatment systems; 3) ground penetrating radar and utility markout; 4) sub-contractor oversight and management. Excellent mechanical skills required. Successful applicant will have ability to work independently with supervision, have excellent attention to detail and good motivation. On the job training provided.
To be considered for this position you must have a degree in Environmental Science or a related field, demonstrated ability for mechanical aptitude, computer skills, excellent work references and clean driving record. Ability to travel for several days per month is required. 40 hour OSHA training a plus. Drug screening required.
Position is full time with salary range of $42,000 to $46,000 base rate per year depending on experience. Company offers flexible work environment, paid over time, bonus, vacation, 401(k), company paid medical insurance and company vehicle.
