Event Lead Generation Marketing Manager

One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for an Event Lead Gen Marketing Manager. The client was recently awarded America’s Best Regional Banks and Credit Unions.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Event Lead Generation Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in generating high-quality leads through strategic event planning and executing targeted marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, lead generation, and marketing campaigns, with a knack for delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

  • Develop and implement strategies to generate high-quality leads through various events, including high-impact, local events, conferences, and networking events.
  • Design and implement a digital lead nurture strategy using Salesforce Marketing Cloud automation
  • Identify and target key industries and events to maximize lead acquisition.
  • Collaborate with member facing teams to define lead criteria and ensure alignment between marketing and sales efforts.

Event Management:

  • Plan, organize, and execute events from conception through to completion, including logistics, content creation, vendor management, and on-site coordination.
  • Develop event promotion strategies and manage pre-event, during-event, and post-event marketing activities.
  • Measure and analyze event performance, including lead generation effectiveness, attendee engagement, and overall ROI.

Campaign Support:

  • Oversee the publishing of marketing campaign and content assets, including but not limited to email campaigns, website content, and internal communications.
  • Using Salesforce Marketing Cloud automation
  • Ensure that all campaign assets are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and brand guidelines.
  • Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns to support lead generation objectives, including email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling campaign materials and messaging.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, including lead conversion rates, engagement metrics, and overall campaign success.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough QA of campaign assets to identify and resolve issues related to content accuracy, design, functionality, and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain QA processes and checklists to ensure high standards of quality and consistency.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with marketing, design, content, and IT teams to gather requirements, review asset drafts, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide feedback to creative and content teams to refine and improve assets before final publication.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation and event success.
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of published assets using analytics tools.
  • Generate reports and insights on asset performance to inform future campaigns and improvements.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize future events and campaigns.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, product, and creative, to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment on objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution and successful partnerships.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in event management and lead generation.
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance lead generation strategies and event execution processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in event management, digital lead generation and marketing campaigns. Proven track record of successful lead generation through events and campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Mandatory: Proficiency in marketing automation tools – campaign experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and CRM is required. Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with virtual and hybrid event formats.
  • Knowledge of SEO, PPC, and content marketing strategies a plus
  • Certification in event planning or marketing (e.g., CMP, HubSpot Marketing Certification), a plus
  • Enjoys writing

Duration: 6 months to start, extensions and contract to hire potential

Location: San Francisco, onsite with some flex

Compensation: $65-75hr DOE
