Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Facility Operations Manager to oversee the efficient, economical, and safe operation of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance, general construction, or a similar field. Supervisory experience is preferred. This position requires extensive knowledge of technology systems, as well as familiarity with Life Safety Code, National Electric Code, ADA Standards, ICF/IID Physical Environment Regulations, HVAC and electrical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Supervision:
- Plan, schedule, supervise, and inspect facility repairs and construction/renovation projects to ensure quality, timeliness, adherence to budget, priorities and needs of the facility.
- Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for facility infrastructure and equipment.
- Collaboration with Administration on strategic plans, regarding future facility modifications.
- Contractor and Vendor Management:
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Write technical aspects of requests for proposals and bid specifications.
- Review and approve construction documents and project specifications.
- Ensures building projects do not adversely affect the mission of the facility.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with Life Safety Code, National Electric Code, ADA Standards, ICF/IID Physical Environment Regulations.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
- Approve purchase order requests.
- Staff Supervision:
- Interview, select, train, and supervise subordinate staff.
- Provide departmental training and work direction.
- Approves leave requests.
- Addresses staff problems and recommends disciplinary actions.
- Conduct performance appraisals.
- Technology Management:
- Management of the facility's technology infrastructure
- Building management software
- Computerized maintenance management software
- Access control system and software
- Networked surveillance camera system and software
- Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system
- Liaison between facility staff and Bureau of Information and Telecommunications.
- Fleet and Travel software
- Environmental Management:
- Monitor building management systems to maximize energy conservation and ensure efficient use of HVAC equipment.
- Other Duties:
- Ensure adequate supplies and equipment availability.
- Represents the facility at meetings with State, county, and local agencies.
- Maintain building maintenance records, blueprints, maps, and appropriate schematics.
Licenses and Certifications: Applicants should currently hold valid Licenses/Certifications or have the ability and time commitment to obtain within the first year of employment.

- Stabilization Pond Certification
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Supervisory experience in building maintenance, general construction, or a similar field is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Life Safety, National Electric Code, ADA Standards, ICF/IID Physical Environment Regulations.
- Strong computer skills, and familiarity with facility infrastructure management.
