Field Service Engineering Technician – Semiconductor

We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineering Technician for a  Semiconductor division, based in Central New York. This role requires candidates reside near Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, calibrate, and maintain semiconductor process equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
  
• Escalate complex repairs to senior technicians as necessary.
  
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce equipment malfunctions.
  
• Maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities and provide periodic reports.
  
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of service parts and equipment to ensure repair work can be performed without delay.
  
• Train and assist technicians and provide basic instruction to customers as needed.
  
• Participate in ongoing technical training to continuously enhance expertise.
  

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent required ; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  
• 0-2 years of related work experience in electromechanical roles, such as a field service engineer or technician in a semiconductor equipment company or a technical engineering position.
  
• Semiconductor experience is required , particularly in lithography and high-precision equipment.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including compressed workweeks.
  
• Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with company safety policies when driving for business purposes.
  
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently; assistance is available for lifting over 30 pounds.
  
• Capable of standing, walking, typing, grasping, and occasionally kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
  
• Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive situations and resolve issues quickly.
