Job Description

  • Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation 
  • Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures 
  • Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job 
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals 
  • Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations 
  •  

     

    Job Summary: Excellent opportunity for a qualified carpenter. Experience in rough and finish carpentry and other areas of residential construction/remodeling preferred. The carpenter must focus on product quality and customer satisfaction. Pay is based on experience and capabilities.

     

    Candidate Requirements:  

    • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot 
    • Knowledgeable of construction methods and various trades such as demolition, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, tiling, finish carpentry, window, door, siding installation. 
    • Ability to interact and communicate well with the client, manager, subcontractors, and co-workers throughout the job 
    • Self-starter and independent worker with attention to detail 
    • Able to take direction from General Contractor
    • Position Responsibilities The carpenter is responsible for the successful completion of the jobs given to them to include: completing on time, on budget, and maintaining a high level of quality, safety, and professional communication. Carpenters work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in tight spaces and must be able to adapt to conditions and circumstances. They work with various hand tools and must keep their tools and worksite in a clean, safe condition. The carpenter may at times need to deal with customer requests, questions, and inquires in a polite and business-like manner. Additional Requirements:  
    • Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing or walking 
    • Must be able to safely use manual and power tools and equipment 
    • Must have own basic carpentry tools and reliable transportation 
    • Must hold a valid driver's license and auto insurance 
    • Must provide own cell phone
