Role
The purpose of the QA Supervisor is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the quality department to enhance customer satisfaction, minimize risks and support the company’s overall success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee QA Techs and Leads, provide leadership, training and guidance
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures and protocols
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations, including but not limited to GMP and SQF
- Develop training programs for production floor staff
- Lead the ERP program for all QA needs, including hold and release
- Oversight of root cause investigations for food safety and/or quality-related issues
- Help resolve and document customer complaints
- Monitor and maintain environmental programs, corrective actions, trending analysis and monitor food safety logs and testing
- perform pre-op inspections and be liaison for 3rd party sanitation
- Collaborates across functions to ensure implementation of new or changes processes
- Evaluate facility compliance with regards to food safety requirements
- Prepare for and participate in audits. Gather and present information as needed
Education & Training Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a food science or related field preferred
Work Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in quality/food processing industry
- Knowledge of SSOP, GMP, HACCP, SQF
- USDA Experience a plus
- familiar with proper sanitation and environmental monitoring procedures
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull, and stand for up to 10 hours a day
- Lifting requirements are 25lb regularly and up to 50lb occasionally
- Exposure to variation in temperature
- Working with uncooked, cooked, frozen products
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Some travel required
- Between SF Plants is required on a regular basis
- May require some out-of-town travel to visit co-man/vendors

- First shift hours: 5:00am - 2:00pm, with additional hours as needed based off production
