We’re looking for a strategic legal thinker who can manage the firm’s internal legal matters while also serving as a trial-ready litigator for high-stakes commercial cases. You’ll be the go-to attorney for both firm-level legal needs (compliance, employment issues, vendor disputes, contracts, etc.) and external client litigation in the commercial/business arena.

$110,000 - $160,000 depending on experience

General Counsel Duties:

• Advise the executive team on internal legal issues, including employment law, regulatory compliance, contracts, risk management, and dispute resolution.
• Draft, revise, and negotiate firm agreements (e.g., vendor contracts, NDAs, employment agreements, leases, etc.).
• Manage and respond to legal claims or inquiries involving the firm.
• Oversee policies, procedures, and risk mitigation protocols across departments.

Commercial Litigation Duties:

• Represent clients in business litigation matters, including:
• Partnership/shareholder disputes
• Breach of contract
• Non-compete, non-disclosure, and non-solicitation enforcement
• Employment defense litigation (wrongful termination, wage disputes, etc.)
• Business torts and unfair competition
• Manage caseload from intake through trial, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, hearings, and depositions.
• Work closely with clients to develop litigation strategy and ensure exceptional representation.

• J.D. from an accredited law school; member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
• 4+ years of experience practicing law, with proven litigation experience in commercial/business disputes.
• Strong knowledge of Florida employment law and general corporate matters.
• In-house counsel or general counsel experience (or equivalent responsibility) is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
