Meyer Jabara Hotels is searching for an experienced and talented General Manager with the ability to lead a team of hospitality professionals and create exceptional experience for our guests at the serene lakeside retreat in Columbia Maryland. The Merriweather Lakehouse overlooks Lake Kittamaqundi and offers the perfect blend of relaxation and sophistication.
This position requires experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, human resources, food and beverage, budget/forecast management, rooms, housekeeping and maintenance. The General Manager will join the hotel team in providing our guests with outstanding hospitality and themed destination experiences. This General Manager will be actively involved in the sales and marketing process of this branded hotel.

• Uses good judgment and has high personal integrity with unquestionable ethical and moral standards.
• Must be able to develop destination sales and marketing strategies that are innovative and creative, as well as possess knowledge of how-to pre-sell properties that are under development.
• Must be savvy in internet marketing strategies and social media.
• Thinks long term as it relates to the market, economy and competition.
• Possess an entrepreneurial attitude and work ethic coupled with an exceptional aptitude for strategic thinking and planning.
• Understands the applicable operational departments of the hotel.
• Experience in opening a new hotel with some food and beverage knowledge strongly preferred.
