Job Title: Greenhouse Associate
Job Summary:
We're hiring a Greenhouse Associate to help care for and maintain our diverse plant inventory, including annuals, perennials, tropicals, herbs, fruits, and vegetables. This hands-on role involves plant care, merchandising, and assisting customers with their gardening needs. The ideal candidate is physically active, plant-savvy, and eager to share their horticultural knowledge with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Care for greenhouse plants through watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest management
Maintain and merchandise displays for seasonal and staple plant collections
Assist customers in selecting suitable plants and provide care instructions
Educate customers on planting techniques, plant compatibility, and garden planning
Monitor plant health and quality, addressing issues proactively
Restock inventory and organize incoming plant deliveries
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a greenhouse, nursery, or garden center preferred
Knowledge of annuals, perennials, tropicals, herbs, fruits and veggies
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Able to lift 30-50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
