How you will create an impact
As the North America Head of Financial Lines Technical Claims you will report to the North America Head of Financial Lines Claims, and be responsible for technical oversight of Financial Lines Claims in North America. You will be responsible for driving Claims technical excellence and be a recognized subject matter expert within and outside of the Claims function in the relevant business lines. You will collaborate directly with senior claims, underwriting, actuarial, legal and compliance leaders to ensure effective development and management of strategic objectives and policies for those lines of business, and be responsible for leading the development of clear and effective strategies for resolving high complexity and severity claims, for identifying claim and coverage trends, and for driving technical excellence and internal business partner communication within specific business lines. You are also responsible for setting strategic vision for the approach to and resolution of these claims, driving claims consistency by product, partnering with underwriting on trends and exposures and working with actuarial to develop a robust and consistent approach to claims exposure assessment and reserving.

For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $230,000-$280,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
