Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • The High School Instructor is present in a regular classroom setting, monitoring online instruction in high school diploma classes.
  • Facilitates completion of online high school diploma classes
  • Supports students in communication with online instructors
  • Establish a high degree of student/instructor rapport and create a positive atmosphere to promote student engagement
  • Maintain a high degree of accountability within the classroom
  • Document student attendance, performance, progress, and behavior
  • Maintain adequate classroom cleanliness
  • Effectively relate to the student population and recognize student success in the classroom
  • Adhere to all data integrity measures related to classroom instruction and testing
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Education. State certification is required.

Preferred: One year in a teaching capacity with disadvantaged youth.

Knowledge Required: Knowledge of required subject area, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, excellent organizational skills, must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification, ability to motivate and inspire students, ability to effectively relate to student population.
