CG is seeking a professional, skilled individual to add to our Business Development team. This position responds to customer’s inquiries or complaints regarding the organization’s products or services. We are willing to train the right person, however a background in the gasket industry would be ideal. Past sales experience preferred. We need an independent, self-motivated person, to work directly with our customers, manage all aspects of the sales process and be a team player.

Inside Sales and Sourcing Coordinator

  • Quoting projects with existing and new customers in industrial manufacturing settings
  • Estimating material, freight and labor costs on new business opportunities to help win business
  • Direction liaison with suppliers and vendors to procure material and handle timing and delivery to meet production lead times
  • Willing to make cold calls to solicit new customers and generate product quotes. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to listen and meet the customer’s needs.
  • A positive fun attitude, along with detail accuracy is a must.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office suite skills.
  • Determines best method to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to the organization’s policies.
  • Informs customers of standard procedures or resolution of issues.
  • Follows up, either verbally or in writing.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the organization’s policies, procedures, practices, products and services.
  • Responsible for order management by handling all the details from purchase order to shipment of product.
  • Position requires occasional travel for business purposes (within state and out of state) for training or customer development purposes

Salary range listed includes base pay. Commissions dependent on sales volume.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary contact with accounts
  • Work with Sales Managers to verify pricing discounts and customer details.
  • Maintain detailed files for documentation
  • Answer phone queue
  • Order processing
  • Respond to emails and faxes
  • Obtain working knowledge of Gaskets and Sealants
  • Existing account management
  • Relationship development
  • Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
  • Generating purchase orders and requests for quotations
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Other tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred, some customer service experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred
  • 1-3 years procurement and sales experience
  • Customer service skills
  • General Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Working Knowledge of Salesforce CRM Management Software
  • Answering of phones and directing calls
  • Good verbal skills – must be able to explain fairly technical parts information clearly
  • Written skills – must be able to communicate via phone, fax, and email effectively with customers
  • Organizational skills
  • Must be honest, hardworking and intelligent
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to handle high call and email volume
  • Excellent and confident customer support skills and positive disposition
