Job Description

Position Summary:

Are you a driven and passionate Interior Design professional with a desire to work with top brands in the interior design industry? We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Interior Design Consultant to join our team, specializing in serving interior designers, architects, and discerning residential clients. You will play a key role in building and maintaining client relationships, promoting our product portfolio, and driving sales to achieve company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with interior designers, architects, design firms, and residential clients, acting as their main point of contact.

  • Understand client project needs, provide accurate and timely quotes, and assist with floor plans, furniture selections, and finish recommendations.

  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, sales activities, and project leads.

  • Ensure customer success through clear communication of order status, prompt customer service and issue resolution, delivery coordination, and post-delivery and installation support.

  • Actively collaborate with the design community, understand their needs, provide product recommendations, and deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, design projects, and events to identify sales opportunities and potential clients.

  • Present our products to design professionals, highlighting key features, quality, and suitability for various projects.

  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to build relationships with interior designers and architects and promote brand awareness.

  • Work with the team to develop targeted marketing strategies to effectively reach interior designers, architects, and end consumers.

  • Support general showroom operations, including packing, shipping, and quarterly inventory.

  • Work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in design sales, interior design, architecture, or related field.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and sell to interior designers and architects.

  • Strong understanding of design principles, aesthetics, and materials in the interior design and architecture industry.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools) is a plus.

  • Strong Apple/Mac skills and proficiency in Google Workspace.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in interior design or related field.

  • Previous experience in an interior design or architectural firm, or design showroom.

  • Experience selling custom furniture, luxury goods, or made-to-order items.

  • Familiarity with Interior Design Software (Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp Pro, CAD, Revit).

  • Additional language skills (we have a soft spot for Dutch!).
