Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to join our estimating team, focusing on Section 10: Specialty items including bathroom accessories and partitions, fire extinguishers and cabinets, bike racks, etc. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for commercial and institutional construction projects. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a desire to grow within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope related to bathroom partitions, bathroom accessories, and other specialty items.
  • Assist in performing accurate take-offs and material quantity calculations.
  • Solicit and review quotes from suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Enter and maintain data in estimating software and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed and itemized project estimates.
  • Communicate with vendors, general contractors, and internal teams to clarify project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare bid submissions and supporting documentation.
  • Track and update pricing, product options, and lead times as needed.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field is a plus.
  • 0–2 years of estimating, construction, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
