Job Description

Overview:

This role will support the Analytical team by assisting with experiments and analysis to help drive the organization’s future R&D, production, and revenue objectives. The individual will be responsible for testing samples from the R&D and Product Development teams using various analytical instruments (HPLC, ICP, GCMS, etc.). They will ensure all sample analyses follow strict standard operating procedures and calibration protocols in the lab. This is a hands-on position where the individual’s initiative, technical expertise, and energy will have a significant impact on the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily lab operations, including standard/sample preparation and mobile phase preparation.
• Help manage the inventory of chemicals and consumables.
• Ensure the lab is well-stocked and resourced, taking proactive steps to order supplies before they run low.
• Assist with running samples from the R&D team and Bioforge operations on ICP-OES, ensuring fast turnaround times.

Requirements:

• Comfortable with hands-on tasks such as preparing and titrating solutions, assembling process equipment, and cleaning laboratory spaces (e.g., blending, neutralizing acids/bases).
• A strong interest in learning analytical chemistry and techniques is required.
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel for basic calculations (e.g., determining concentrations, combining sample weights and volumes).
• Benchtop or laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with ICP-OES is required.
• Experience with HPLC and GC is preferred but not required.
