Job Posting: Research Assistant I (RA)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (RA) to join our team.
The Ideal candidate will have experience in a centrifuging samples, working with multiple human biospecimens.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Contribute to specialized biorepository operations, such as phlebotomy (optional).
- Support the development and maintenance of IRB approvals in the role of a regulatory specialist.
- Obtain patient consent as required.
- Oversee individual research projects, including maintaining regulatory binders, delegation logs, and project workflows, as assigned.
- Keep accurate minutes for weekly Biorepository Operations meetings.
- Assist in the creation and curation of project-specific workflow documents.
- Manage reagent materials and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Oversee the Proficiency Testing program to ensure quality and compliance.
- Communicate with the IRB and submit necessary documentation (e.g., continuing review, KSP).
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working in a Laboratory setting with human biospecimens
- Multitasking Ability
- Strong administrative capabilities with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Basic scientific knowledge to support research and operational activities.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certification or training in Clinical Research.
- Phlebotomy training or experience.
