What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for the execution and quality of the enhancement work orders and replacements, including acquisition of material, scheduling, delivery, installation, and communication with all parties involved.
  • Responsible to drive daily in a company vehicle with or without passengers.
  • Plan and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all contracted work.
  • Motivate and supervise multiple diversified crews on a daily basis.
  • Review project plan and details with salesperson, construction manager, crews and support personnel via office meetings, site visits, emails, phone calls etc.
  • Correspond with Client Relations Managers, Field Managers, Site Supervisors, Construction Manager, Project Manager, Foreman, Flower Operations Manager, Yard Manager etc. on material status and production planning with a professional working relationship.
  • Plan for and procure special equipment as needed on a site-by-site basis.
  • Assist with site layout to ensure the design intent is met and as such is approved by the client and salesperson.
  • Ability to communicate with clients, as needed, to ensure constant client satisfaction.
  • Inspect onsite work activities of company and subcontractor crews to ensure work is being performed correctly and to Scott Byron & Co. standards.
  • Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, labor hour management, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.
  • Responsible for submitting accurate and timely paperwork, reviewing and approving time records (payroll), work orders, reports, and other documents that are required.
  • Achieve safety goals by training all employees to ensure safety responsibilities and having weekly safety meetings.
  • Assist in the recruiting, selecting of qualified candidates for Site Supervisors, Crew Labor Drivers and Laborers, and performance appraisals in conjunction with human resources department.
  • Understand and promote the importance of environmental stewardship/conservation and respect for natural resources in conjunction with company goals and objectives as they relate to client desires and sustainability initiatives.
  • Utilize appropriate technologies to facilitate information management and record keeping.
  • Communicate and resolve needs, issues, safety concerns and/or problems in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain good communication, high safety standards, and positive relations with co-workers, customers and the public.
  • Adhere to and uphold all Company safety practices, procedures and policies.
  • Represent the Company in a positive manner befitting our brand and image
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include safety, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Conduct weekly tailgate talks and manage safety sign off sheets.

Skills and Experience You Offer:

  • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the safety issues, regulations, and procedures utilized in public and private works activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required, experience in Aspire is a plus.
  • Candidates must have a valid local driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Required to pass a DOT medical physical according to DOT guidelines.
  • A pre-employment physical and drug test is required after offer of employment.
  • Will be subject to random drug screening.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical field work.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, managers, co-workers and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, including: read, write, and with use of computers and phones. Fluency in Spanish is a plus
