Job Description:
In partnership with Black Rocket Productions, Eastern Iowa Community College is hiring Lead Instructors to teach youth various types of digital arts programs at EICC campus locations this summer. Topics include but are not limited to YouTube Creators, Model United Nations, Youth Inventors and Entrepreneurs, ROBLOX Coders, and A.I. Adventures- Into to Machine Learning. Classes are taught in age groups 8-10 and 11-14.
Lead Instructors are responsible for the well-being and education of the students. A lead instructor may have either a degree/experience in education or significant experience in one of the content areas being taught. In addition to teaching responsibilities, lead instructors are also responsible for staff supervision, equipment management, enforcement of site policies, and meeting project deadlines. Required training is provided and begins in late spring. Training requires availability during some evenings and weekends. After completing the Black Rocket training program, instructors must demonstrate competency in the core concepts being taught and the software used.
