Our client is seeking a Legal Assistant

Must have legal secretary experience in a law firm, and must have a reasonable commute.

• Receive and respond to incoming calls from potential new clients; complete data collection and other intake documents for determination of consultations and collect required documents for consultations
• Send confirmation emails, payment links, calendar invites, and update attorney calendars
• Have strong organizational skills, with superior attention to detail; must be able to keep track of attorneys’ appointments, follow-up tasks, to-do items, request follow-up on all and maintain a traditional “tickler”
• Be polite, yet assertive, to help keep attorneys on task given high volume of caseload
• Excellent telephone skills; must be able to screen potential client calls and return calls promptly
• Keep client files updated and well organized on regular basis
• Comfortable and good at communication skills with staff and clients alike
• Familiarity with procedures/filing requirements of Northern Virginia courts
• Computer proficient, with typing accuracy and speed
• Grammar / proofreading skills
• Strong MS Office (especially Word and Excel) and PDF editing skills; NetDocuments experience is a plus
