About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a growing client in the mining industry to identify a Legal Billing Administrator to support their in-house legal department. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a hybrid schedule, competitive compensation, and excellent benefits. The role is available due to increased workload and department expansion.

Job Description:

The Legal Billing Administrator will support the legal team by processing and managing invoices, maintaining and optimizing billing platforms, coordinating vendor onboarding, and providing reporting and budgeting support. This individual will ensure billing accuracy, improve internal workflows, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and review legal invoices from external counsel and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance with company billing guidelines
  • Manage legal billing software, including user access, configuration, and data integrity
  • Train legal department staff on billing system functionality and provide user support
  • Coordinate onboarding of new vendors and legal service providers, including workflow setup
  • Develop custom reports and dashboards to track legal spend, matter updates, and KPIs
  • Support legal budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts
  • Utilize automation tools and AI to streamline billing processes and enhance reporting
  • Communicate professionally with legal teams, vendors, and stakeholders across departments

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with at least four (4) years of legal billing or legal operations experience in a law firm or in-house legal team; OR
  • Associate’s degree with at least two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in legal billing systems or similar software
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, CoPilot)
  • Solid understanding of legal processes, billing procedures, and terminology
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate with team members

Additional Details:

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire
  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (flexible; hybrid)
  • Reports To: Director of Legal Operations
  • Start Date: ASAP
