The Robotics Department is looking for a team-oriented professional to teach course ROB 380/511 - Autonomous Robotics in the Robotics department. We are particularly interested in recruiting an individual with expertise and interest in teaching C/C++ at the intermediate level with a focus on robot kinematics and planning methods.

This is a non-tenure track faculty position with a four-month appointment and an initial term to cover the Winter semester. The position is open and the anticipated start date is January 1, 2025.

  • Masters or doctoral degree in robotics, computer science, or relevant academic discipline
  • 3 years of computer programming experience, particularly with C++, JavaScript, and Python or Matlab
  • Proven knowledge of robot kinematics and planning methods

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
