Machine Operator

This role is Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary:

The Machine Operator (3rd Shift) is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in the production of dietary supplements. This role ensures that overnight production runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with cGMP regulations and company quality standards.

Shift Schedule:

  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (subject to change based on production needs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor high-speed manufacturing equipment (e.g., tablet presses, capsule fillers, powder mixers, bottling lines)
  • Perform equipment setup, startup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting
  • Conduct in-process quality checks, including weight, hardness, count, and visual inspection of products
  • Maintain accurate production logs and batch records in compliance with FDA and cGMP standards
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Coordinate with maintenance and Quality Assurance for equipment issues or deviations
  • Follow safety protocols and report any potential hazards or equipment malfunctions
  • Work independently with minimal supervision during overnight operations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably supplements, pharmaceuticals, or food)
  • Familiarity with cGMP, FDA, and safety regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work overnight hours
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and team player attitude

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with supplement or pharmaceutical production equipment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
