Job Description

We are excited to invite a highly skilled and innovative Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as the Medical Director. In this key role, you will provide psychiatric oversight, support outpatient clinical operations, and contribute to the overall vision and program development of our agency. Working in a collaborative community mental health outpatient setting, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team that includes licensed therapists, clinical and executive directors, and other prescribing staff members.

Responsibilities
Psychopharmacological Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to determine appropriate medication services.
Non-Face-to-Face Services: Provide support through phone consultations with physicians, pharmacies, clients, and parents/guardians as needed.
Medication Management: Review, prescribe, and monitor medication for clients, ensuring their well-being.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all client interactions in accordance with clinic guidelines.
Program Consultation and Development: Collaborate in creating new programs aimed at enhancing the mental health of children and youth in our community, exploring innovative treatment delivery methods to meet the growing need for mental health services.
Fellowship Program Partnership: Work alongside the Executive Director to establish a partnership with a psychiatry fellowship program, with the goal of supervising fellows on-site to increase access to care for our clients.
Case Consultation and Training: Provide guidance and training to staff as requested.
Collaboration with Primary Care Providers: Coordinate and educate local primary care providers and pediatricians to enhance client care.
Quality Management Participation: Engage in the agency's Quality Management process as needed.
After-Hours Availability: Be available for after-hours phone consultations on an as-needed basis.
Consultation for Clinicians: Offer insights regarding diagnostic impressions and psychopharmacological recommendations.
Clinical Records Maintenance: Prepare and maintain clinical case records and required documentation, adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards.
Billing and Compliance: Ensure all billing and client documentation meets Medicaid, insurance, and licensing requirements.
Continuing Education: Maintain state and federal licensing requirements, including appropriate continuing education units (CEUs).
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
A minimum of three to five years of direct practice experience with juvenile and young adult populations is preferred.

Salary Range: $250,000 to $310,000 per year
