Job Title: Mine Superintendent

Location: Troy, MO

Position Summary

New Frontier Materials is seeking an experienced and motivated Mine Superintendent to oversee daily mining operations at our Troy, Missouri location. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant mine operations while meeting production, quality, and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong operational knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement with previous experience in surface or underground aggregates operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily mine operations, including production, equipment usage, and personnel
• Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirements
• Lead, train, and develop hourly team members
• Coordinate production schedules to meet quality, volume, and cost targets
• Monitor equipment performance and work with maintenance teams to minimize downtime
• Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits
• Manage operating budgets and control costs while maintaining productivity
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining or aggregates operations, with supervisory responsibility. Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
• Strong working knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety best practices
• Proven leadership and team-building skills
• Experience managing production, equipment, and maintenance activities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (production reporting, email, etc.)
