Mold Maker – Experienced Tooling Professional (2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11pm)
Hourly Pay: $30hr - $40hr (dependent on experience)
What You'll Be Doing Each Day:
Join a precision-driven team where your expertise will shape high-quality plastic components and tools. As a seasoned Mold Maker, you'll play a critical role in mold construction, inspection, and functionality, while mentoring others and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to ISO:9001 quality standards and champion best practices in mold manufacturing.
- Plan and execute the full sequence of operations for custom mold construction from start to finish.
- Accurately detail any additional work authorized under the Project Work Order.
- Take full ownership of work quality, performing ongoing inspections throughout the build process.
- Assemble mold components with precision, ensuring proper tool function and alignment.
- Interpret blueprints and plastic part drawings to confirm all specs are met with exactness.
- Use SolidWorks for design interaction and be open to learning Jobpack scheduling software.
- Partner closely with the design engineering team to ensure mold drawings are accurate and reflect as-built conditions.
- Share your expertise by mentoring apprentices and supporting their growth.
- Prioritize safety by strictly following all company procedures and best practices.
- Assist with mold repairs as needed and help troubleshoot tooling challenges.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training/apprenticeship in mold making or tool & die.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in mold building, tool assembly, and precision machining.
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and a desire to learn additional systems like Jobpack.
- Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and collaborative mindset with a passion for craftsmanship.
