Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Occupational Therapist (OT) who thinks outside the box and enjoys incorporating playful, engaging elements into therapy sessions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, effectively communicating with families, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' functional abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to support therapy goals.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation using EMR systems.
  • Provide cognitive rehabilitation therapy, particularly for individuals with behavioral disturbances associated with Dementia.
  • Deliver Dementia sensitivity training and assist in program development for memory care units.
  • Treat patients in assisted living facility settings, with training and mentorship available for those new to this environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist license in OR.
  • Experience: Previous experience in cognitive rehabilitation and Dementia care is preferred, but candidates with an interest in gaining experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong documentation skills and proficiency with EMR systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
