Job Description

As a Policy Accounting & Support Associate, you will receive and process payments, remittances, and checks. Your role will include daily balancing of premium accounts, receiving and processing premium payments, policy changes, surrenders, maturities, loans, and updates.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Enters data to process policy accounting transactions to record payments information.
  • Performs daily balancing of select accounts to ensure out internal systems and the general ledger are in sync.
  • Responsible for researching a variety of reports for discrepancies and stale entries.Determine proper actions and apply payments.
  • Responsible for researching unpaid checks and EFT returns, analyzing and researching returned items to determine the best course of action. Updates system and communicates as needed.
  • Reviews and processes requested changes to policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu.
  • 1+ years of experience in a position with a focus on math or accounting. Life insurance administration experience is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products.
  • Knowledge of ACH transaction or general principles of accounting systems is preferred.
  • LifePro experience is a plus.
