Job Description

Company

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a compelling opportunity to be a part of an exciting new food brand as we operate within a critical growth stage. David is led by CEO Peter Rahal, the Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR ($600M exit to Kellogg in 2017). We have strong aspirations to become the most popular high-protein bar in North America and beyond.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Product Manager (Internal Systems) will lead the implementation and development of internal systems and backend tools that power our supply chain, finance team, and ecommerce site. You’ll sit at the intersection of finance, technology, and supply chain, playing a key role in helping David scale efficiently and effectively. You’ll be responsible for: scoping and documenting technology systems requirements, tracking progress, managing timelines, and ensuring alignment across functions. You’ll work closely with function leaders to ensure clear, consistent communication between technical and non-technical teams. This role reports to our Director of Finance.

In the short-to-medium term, you’ll lead the design and implementation of our ERP and core backend systems. Long term, you’ll serve as the internal owner of our backend systems and data infrastructure, supporting expansion into new channels, products, and geographies, and ensuring that our tools scale with the complexity of the business.

  • Lead the implementation of our transition from current systems to a more holistic, comprehensive ERP tool, including add-ons for specific functions including a materials resource planning tool for Supply Chain and a CRM for Retail.
  • Partner with Customer Experience and Growth teams to drive ongoing development of the technology tools that power our website.
  • Design and implement scalable data architecture to support growth across SKUs, product lines, customers, manufacturing sites, fulfillment centers, and employees.
  • Build and manage integrations with key external partners—including data providers, suppliers, warehouses, and retailers—to enable data exchange via APIs, EDI, and other structured feeds.
  • Own and lead future technical projects as the business evolves—from new internal tools to third-party integrations—as needs and opportunities emerge.

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience owning technical projects or systems implementations — ideally at (or consulting for) high-growth startups or CPG brands.
  • Relevant Domain Knowledge (Required) – Familiarity with ERP, WMS, and/or OMS systems.
  • Baseline Coding Ability (Highly Preferred) – While this is not an engineering role, familiarity with scripting, querying (e.g., SQL), or light coding helps you go deeper with technical stakeholders and solve problems more independently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Comfortable moving between high-level thinking and detailed execution across different teams.
  • Technical Fluency – Understands how technical teams operate and can engage effectively with engineers and product leads.
  • Strong Project Management – Highly organized with experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Google Suite to manage timelines, tasks, and documentation.
  • High Ownership & Attention to Detail – Takes initiative, follows through, and brings a sharp eye to execution.
  • Intellectual Curiosity – Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and a drive to figure things out.
  • Low Ego, High Drive – Humble, self-aware, and motivated by a shared mission.
  • Mission Alignment – Excited to help build an early-stage CPG company focused on creating tools to increase muscle and decrease fat.

Practicalities & Benefits:

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.
  • Salary: $120 - $160K per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets.
  • Company equity opportunity on top of cash compensation.
  • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance.
  • 401(k) with 4% match.
  • Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses.
  • Substantial and required PTO.

Application Process :

  • Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
  • The target start date for this role is spring / summer of 2025.
