Job Description

Product Owner

Job Description

We're looking for a Product Owner to join our dynamic Product Team and help drive the future of our industry-leading CRM platform for automotive dealerships. In this role, you'll play a key part in contributing to the product roadmap, collaborating across teams and departments, and ensuring the successful execution and support of new features, enhancements, and projects that create real impact for our users.

Please note: This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the voice of the product, translating strategic goals into actionable initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Users, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and Key Stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver product enhancements and solutions.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of product bug fixes, features, and larger-scale initiatives from concept to release.
  • Manage third-party partner communications and projects, ensuring alignment with product goals and smooth collaboration.
  • Work closely with other Product Owners and the Director of Product to align product efforts with company goals and long-term vision.
  • Champion a deep understanding of the product, customer needs, and market trends to help guide decision-making.
  • Act as a communicator, coordinator, and advocate for product priorities across internal teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • Foundational Product Experience: Previous experience in a product-focused role (Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar).
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Task Versatility: Willingness to handle a wide variety of tasks, from strategy and documentation to QA and support coordination.
  • Customer-Facing: Comfortable engaging directly with customers to gather feedback, present solutions, and represent the product team in meetings or demos.
  • Autonomy & Flexibility: Comfortable working autonomously and navigating ambiguity—able to move initiatives forward without always having perfectly defined requirements.
  • Persuasion & Problem-Solving: Ability to overcome objections and influence outcomes by clearly articulating value, navigating concerns, and adapting to challenges.
  • Technical Acumen: Basic understanding of software development processes and ability to work closely with engineering teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze user feedback and data to identify opportunities for product enhancements.

What We’re Looking For (Pluses)

  • Experience in a product-focused role in automotive SaaS.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales workflows, or customer engagement tools.
  • Experience working with third-party integrations, APIs, or vendor partnerships.
  • Experience supporting go-to-market efforts like feature rollouts, training, or documentation.
  • Prior work in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment where flexibility and wearing multiple hats were key.
  • Who We Are: DriveCentric is a premier customer relationship management (CRM) software company connecting automotive dealerships with customers in innovative and award-winning ways. As the fastest-growing software company in St. Louis and a Top Workplace for three consecutive years, we are expanding our product team.
