Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing production capacity, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining quality control standards. This role involves coordinating with co-manufacturers, suppliers, and warehouse providers while overseeing inventory, compliance, and cost efficiency. The Production Supervisor plays a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, maintaining safety standards, and improving overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Coordination:

  • Manage production capacity based on sales forecasts and inventory plans.
  • Generate and deliver weekly production forecasts for co-manufacturers.
  • Issue and track purchase orders for finished goods and raw materials.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for co-manufacturers and direct materials suppliers.

Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Monitor and validate product quality control (QC) and recall procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality audits, report findings, and track corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) inventory management procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations, ensuring safety and environmental standards are met.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

  • Work with third-party warehouse providers to ensure accurate inventory tracking and minimize variances and write-offs.
  • Confirm accurate vendor invoicing for inbound goods to storage facilities.
  • Validate warehouse storage invoices and conduct annual on-site inventory audits (travel required).
  • Perform competitive cost analysis on raw materials and supply chain operations.

Performance Tracking & Process Improvement:

  • Develop and track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and vendor scorecards to measure efficiency.
  • Lead process improvements to enhance productivity, cost efficiency, and safety.
  • Train employees on safety protocols, production processes, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: 5+ years as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing or production environment.

Skills:

  • Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
  • Proficiency with inventory management and production software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications & Compliance Knowledge:
  • Prior experience with OSHA (preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to coach, train, and motivate employees in safety and production best practices.
