Job Description

Sports Research has an opportunity for an experienced, full-time Project Coordinator, Marketing to join our team here in our beautiful San Pedro, CA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Project Manager in planning, organizing, and executing marketing projects, ensuring they stay on track, and updating the Wrike project management system accordingly. They work closely with the marketing team and other departments to help manage all aspects of a project, from initial concept to final delivery.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Ensure timely execution of assigned marketing projects, from start to finish.
  • Follow up on assigned projects to stay on track.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of project details.
  • Update tasks and due dates in Wrike.
  • Follow up on tasks in “needs answers” status.
  • Update project descriptions in Wrike.
  • Troubleshoot any Wrike issues.
  • Train team members on Wrike.
  • Deploy existing Wrike blueprints for New Product Introduction (NPI), New Product Existing (NPE) and Retail Launches.
  • Obtaining feedback and reporting monthly on project retrospectives.
  • Monthly review of milestones & deliverables.
  • Collaborate and work closely with creative, content, digital, and sales teams.
  • Prioritize tasks and allocate resources for on-time delivery.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline project processes.
  • Ensure marketing materials meet brand guidelines and requirements.
  • Create and update written SOP’s for your role.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in a marketing project management or project management support role.
  • Proficient in Wrike project management system.
  • Accurate and thorough data entry.
  • Experience in project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in marketing, advertising, or related fields as it relates to project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves sitting most of the workday.
  • Walking, stairs and standing are required only occasionally.
  • Typing and applying pressure with the fingers and palm required.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken and written word.
  • Conveying detailed or important spoken instructions to customers, the public, and other workers accurately, clearly, and at times, quickly.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech sounds in person and on a device such as a computer or telephone.
  • Reading and writing in English
  • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., reading small print), including use of computers.
  • Repetitive motion: Substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
